Abdul Rahman Dahlan takes helm as Suria Capital chairman

KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan has been appointed Chairman of Suria Capital Holdings Berhad, effective Wednesday.

A two-term Member of Parliament for Kota Belud, he previously served as Federal Minister of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government and later as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department overseeing the Economic Planning Unit, and has chaired Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation Sdn Bhd, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Seeds Capital Group.

Suria Capital Group Managing Director Datuk Ahmad Rizal Dahli said Abdul Rahman’s experience in economic planning and oil and gas–related development aligns with the company’s role in supporting industrial growth, port-led trade and logistics.

Accepting the appointment, Abdul Rahman said that Suria Capital and its subsidiaries play a crucial role in facilitating trade and industrial activity in Sabah and the region, and he looked forward to working with the Board and management to support the company’s long-term direction and growth.
