Former Beluran MP Asmat Nungka passes away at 72
SANDAKAN: Former Beluran Member of Parliament Datuk Asmat Nungka passed away at Duchess of Kent Hospital here on Wednesday midnight, his family confirmed.

His son, Adlin, said that Asmat, 72, passed away due to complications from paralysis and a lung infection after receiving treatment at the hospital.

Asmat, who served the Beluran parliamentary constituency for one term, is survived by his wife, a daughter and three sons.

His remains will be brought to Kampung Penimbanan, Beluran, for burial on Friday, according to family members.
