KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno supports the move by party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to open the door for former members to return, said Sabah Umno chief Datuk Jafry Ariffinon Saturday.
Jafry said the approach reflects the party’s political maturity and humility in efforts to reunite strength and unity among its members for the country’s future.

He said such a move is important amid increasingly challenging political circumstances, as it helps strengthen the organisation and reunite experience and political strength within Umno.
Jafry added that for Sabah, political stability and ties with national parties that possess administrative experience remain important to ensure the state’s interests continue to be safeguarded within the federal framework.
He expressed hope the initiative would strengthen unity among members while expanding Umno’s role in the nation’s development agenda.
