KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited the family of the late Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin at their home here on Saturday to offer his condolences.
He expressed sympathy to Bung’s loved ones and prayed they would be granted strength as they cope with their loss.
Anwar was accompanied by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin, who is also Sabah Umno secretary.
Bung, a former Deputy Chief Minister and six-term Kinabatangan MP, died at 1.46am on Friday after being treated in intensive care for a lung infection.
His death came less than a week after he was re-elected as Lamag assemblyman in the Nov 29 Sabah state election.
