LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three men and seized 69.47gm of syabu in two separate operations on Thursday.
District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the first operation was carried out at about 3.30am when a Narcotic Crime Investigation Division team raided a worker’s house in Felda Sahabat.
During the raid, a 32-year-old man without identification documents was arrested, and four packets containing 6.55gm of Syabu worth an estimated RM720.50 were found.
“On the same day, the team raided another house at about 5am and detained two men. An inspection at the scene uncovered a sling bag containing three packets of syabu.
“The seizure, weighing 62.92gm, is estimated to be worth RM6,921.20. Both suspects tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine,” he said.
Dzulbaharin said all three suspects have been remanded for further investigation. The cases are being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
He added that the operations reflect the Lahad Datu Police Headquarters’ continued commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the district.
