Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Action Body Advocating Rights (Sabar) congratulated Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and the State Government on their renewed mandate following the recent State Election.
Sabar Board Chairman Datuk Zainie Abd Aucasa said the non-partisan organisation remains committed to engaging constructively with the government to promote good governance, accountability, and the wellbeing of all Sabahans.
He welcomed the government’s focus on education and health, noting that these priorities align with community aspirations captured through the Sabah Voices to Action initiative, which compiled 117 recommendations from stakeholders across the state.
Zainie also stressed Sabar’s commitment to advocating for Sabah’s constitutional rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), including the 40 per cent net revenue return and recognition of Sabah’s jurisdiction over its maritime and resource wealth under the Continental Shelf Act.
“As an organisation dedicated to health, education, advocacy and community empowerment, Sabar stands ready to collaborate with the State Government where it serves the public interest, while upholding transparency and accountability.
We look forward to continued dialogue and cooperation as we work toward a stronger and more just future for Sabah,” he said.
