KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor on securing a fresh mandate to form the Sabah Government.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, he said the Madani Government fully respects the clear message sent by Sabah voters, who expressed their desire for meaningful change after years of inequality and neglect by various parties from both the peninsula and the state.
Anwar added that the Federal Government has spent the past three years addressing long-standing issues affecting Sabah, including matters linked to state rights and entitlements.
He said several tangible improvements related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 have been achieved within this short period.
Anwar reaffirmed that the Madani administration will stay committed to reforms aimed at ensuring a fair, prosperous and no-longer marginalised Sabah, noting that the voices of its people remain a responsibility that must be upheld with integrity.
