TUARAN: The Election Commission (EC) is targeting a voter turnout of more than 60 per cent for tomorrow’s state election.
EC Chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun (

He said unpredictable weather could affect the percentage, as heavy rain may make it difficult for voters to leave their homes, and no additional voting hours would be provided.
Ramlan added that the EC may postpone polling in areas severely affected by floods or landslides, depending on reports from the District Disaster Management Committee.
He said the EC has standard operating procedures to respond to disasters and remains in close communication with MetMalaysia, Nadma, district officers and local authorities.
