SANDAKAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Sabah needs a stable government to ensure the best outcomes for its development.
He assured that the Federal Government will continue paying close attention to Sabah while strengthening cooperation with the State Government.
Anwar said enhanced coordination would ease the channelling of aid and allocations, especially as Putrajaya remains mindful of Sabah and Sarawak’s needs, including lower diesel prices and basic utilities.
He added that political maturity and leadership focused on public welfare were essential to address longstanding issues such as water and electricity.
Anwar delivered the remarks during a gathering with Sandakan youth in Sim-Sim on Wednesday, which was also attended by Pakatan Harapan candidates Vivian Wong Shir Yee and Tang Szu Ching.
