Kota Kinabalu: United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) demanded a public apology from Sabah Info over its purported defamatory allegations against the party.
The party, in a statement Tuesday, said the social media and digital advertising platform’s failure to do so will result in action, including potential legal proceedings under the Defamation Act 1957.
Upko said it left Pakatan Harapan on Nov 10, 2025 and pointed out that no collaboration with any peninsula-based political party has existed since that date, as the party is no longer part of the coalition.
The social media and digital advertising platform had on Tuesday uploaded a photograph dated Nov 1, 2025 that was used to suggest cooperation between Upko and the Barisan Nasional.
