SHAH ALAM: A father found himself outsmarted by his own parenting tactics when a casual RM1,000 promise turned into a very real payout after his young son aced his exam.
Local actor-entrepreneur Fazreen Rafi shared the moment on Threads, admitting he never expected his son Hak to take the reward offer so literally.
Hak had confidently told his father the exam was “easy”, prompting Fazreen to jokingly promise RM1,000 for a perfect score — a promise the boy immediately demanded be sworn on.
To his shock, Hak returned with 100 marks, proudly waving the paper while his parents processed the fact that the family ATM was now operational.
Fazreen honoured his word, withdrew RM1,000 in cash, and handed it to the overjoyed boy as amused Malaysians warned him to brace for the remaining papers — and possibly several more years of financial damage.
