RANAU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) secretary-general Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun says Kundasang, Karanaan and Paginatan are now moving in step as a single political front in what he describes as a rare show of Kadazan Dusun Murut (KDM) unity ahead of the state polls.
He told supporters at the ‘Untukmu Kundasang’ programme on Monday that his presence in Kundasang, despite contesting in Karanaan, was meant to show GRS is breaking traditional boundaries by working across constituencies.
Masidi said he is not only backing Datuk Seri Joachim Gunsalam in Kundasang but has also been tasked to boost GRS efforts in neighbouring Paginatan as part of a coordinated “tri-DUN” collaboration.
He said the united approach is intended to demonstrate that KDM cooperation within GRS is genuine and grounded in shared community interests that extend across Ranau.
Masidi added that a clean sweep in the three KDM-majority seats would signal strong, stable unity statewide, expressing confidence that Joachim will win Kundasang.
