Kundasang: The upgrading of roadside stalls in Kundasang is part of a broader effort to strengthen rural micro and small entrepreneurs by providing structured, safer, and more competitive business premises, said Datuk Mohamad Alamin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (Kuskop).
Mohamad said the Ministry’s main objective in channeling funds for the project is to enhance the overall business environment while supporting sustainable income growth.
“One of Kuskop’s objectives is to strengthen rural micro and small entrepreneurs by providing structured, safer, and more competitive business premises. The upgrading enhances the business environment, improves customer experience, and supports sustainable income growth, particularly in high tourism areas such as Kundasang,” he said.
He added that the Ministry adopts an outcome-oriented approach in evaluating the effectiveness of such projects to ensure tangible benefits are delivered to participating traders.
