GRS Sungai Sibuga denies 300 members have quit
“The figure of 300 is inaccurate. In reality, only about 10 to 20 people joined BN, and I know who they are,” Amir Shah said.
SANDAKAN: The issue of party membership should not be sensationalised during campaigning in order to preserve unity, said Datuk Amir Shah Yaakub, GRS candidate for the Sungai Sibuga seat.

He said GRS, led by Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, prioritises unity and maintains good relations with other parties.

“The issue of new members joining any party is normal in politics. GRS Sungai Sibuga also frequently received new memberships from other parties throughout this campaign period.

“However, we do not make a fuss about it because it is a common occurrence and not an issue that needs to be emphasised,” he said, in response to claims that 300 GRS Sungai Sibuga members had joined Barisan Nasional.
