Kota Kinabalu: Warisan Vice President Datuk Junz Wong questioned what he claims is unusually tight scrutiny by the Election Commission (EC).
He claimed Warisan candidates have been repeatedly reprimanded for activities that other parties appear to carry out without issue.
He told a press conference that Warisan candidates were being monitored “extra closely”, including by EC officers who followed events with cameras, issued verbal warnings and intervened in ceramahs despite police permits having been approved.
He said they were told they could not speak outside their own constituencies, citing an incident in Hilltop where a speaker was stopped despite the event having police clearance.
