300 join Sabah Family Month
Some of the activities held throughout NBKK Sabah 2025.
Kota Kinabalu: The November National Family Month (NBKK) Sabah State Level 2025 celebration successfully brought together people from various backgrounds to strengthen the family institution.

National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) Deputy Chairman Juwairiya Zulkifli said that with the theme “Family LOVE, Happiness Together”, the programme reflects a continuous commitment to fostering a culture of love, mutual respect, and effective communication within the family institution.

“A total of 300 participants, comprising government staff, NGOs, as well as IPTA and IPTS students, enlivened the programme.

“This year’s event successfully achieved its goal of strengthening family relationships and reinforcing support networks between agencies, communities, and families.

“LPPKN, together with its strategic partners, will continue to empower the Madani family agenda towards a harmonious and prosperous society,” she said during the officiating ceremony of the programme here on Sunday.

Juwairiya said the various activities received encouraging participation, reflecting a strong sense of belonging and cooperation among the agencies involved.

“Among the activities under the Family LOVE initiative were family zumba, traditional ketupat weaving, family creative, Oh My Puzzle!, and the Ping Pong Ball Challenge.

“The programme was also enlivened by exhibitions from government agencies and sales of local entrepreneurial products, aimed at broadening public awareness of social services, family health and safety, as well as community economic opportunities,” she added.

Also present were LPPKN Director-General Datuk Abdul Shukur Abdullah, Sabah Ministry of Community Development and People’s Well-being (KPMKR) Permanent Secretary Datuk Maria Chong, PEMADAM Sabah Executive Josie Ansilmus, Nexus SPA and Karambunai Resort Operations Director Jai Sarwi, and LPPKN Sabah Director Shahriah Saharom.
