SABAH Publishing House Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Clement Yeh (third left), accompanied by Deputy General Manager Dexter Yeh (left), paying their last respects to the Overseas Chinese Daily News (OCDN) Chief Editor Stephen Lai Kien Yean at the Tionghua Crematorium Hall in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday.
Also present were Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) President Datuk Michael Lui and Kota Kinabalu Journalist Association (KKJA) Chairman Jimmy Goh.
Lai, widely regarded as a pillar of Chinese-language journalism in Sabah, passed away on Friday at Queen Elizabeth Hospital after an illness. He was 77.
