Kota Kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) candidate for the Tambunan state seat Datuk Victor P. Paut is campaigning on a platform of change, asserting that Tambunan residents are eager for new leadership and accelerated economic development in the coming 17th Sabah Election.
He aims to unseat Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) President and incumbent assemblyman Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan.
A businessman from Kampung Lintuhun, Victor expressed his gratitude to GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Haji Noor for his nomination.
“I urge all voters in Tambunan to support and vote for GRS so that the continuity of Tambunan’s development can be carried forward,” he stated after the GRS candidate announcement Wednesday.
While Victor is a fresh face in this election, his extensive involvement in politics is seen as a considerable asset.
He emphasised his commitment to building strong relationships within the local community.
Victor’s vision for Tambunan centres on boosting the district’s economy through modern agricultural resources and maximising its tourism potential, capitalising on its rich historical background.
He believes that GRS is well-positioned to win in Tambunan, given the widespread desire for improvements in economic growth and overall development.
“Tambunan has lagged behind many other districts in the state. Therefore, the people of Tambunan need a new leader with a clear vision and mission to take the district into a new era,” Victor said, highlighting the core message of his campaign.
