TAWAU: Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah said it will field candidates in all 73 seats in the 17th Sabah election, marking its most extensive attempt since the party was formed in 2008.
Party president Datuk Seri Mohd Arshad Abdul Mualap said this is the party’s fourth attempt after contesting three seats in 2018, seven in 2020 and 24 in 2023.
He said the party is fielding candidates from varied backgrounds and is aiming to secure between 30 and 37 seats this time.
Mohd Arshad confirmed he will not contest, saying the candidates presented are capable of leading the state should the party secure a majority.
He said the party will launch its manifesto after nomination day, with citizenship issues among Sabah-born residents without documents set to be a central focus.
