Young BN wave to redefine Sabah politics: Suhaimi
BN candidates for the coming Sabah election stand united on stage, symbolising a new wave of youthful leadership.
Kota Kinabalu: Umno Sabah Information Chief Datuk Suhaimi Nasir has described the emergence of many young Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates in the coming Sabah state election as a “new wave” that will transform the political and administrative landscape of the state.

He said the rise of youth candidates represents more than just a change in faces, it marks a structural shift in leadership that could reshape how policies are designed and implemented.

“The strong participation of young people in this election is a clear sign that Sabah is moving towards a political generational shift — one that not only changes the leadership style but also the way policies are crafted and executed,” Suhaimi said.

Suhaimi, who is also Libaran Member of Parliament and BN’s candidate for Sungai Sibuga, noted that many of the young BN candidates come from professional, industrial, and global backgrounds, giving them the intellectual and strategic capacity to address Sabah’s challenges in a holistic way.
