RANAU: The new multipurpose hall in Kampung Toboh Pahu here was officially opened on Sunday in a joyful celebration that drew residents from nearby villages.
GRS secretary-general Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who officiated the event, said the long-awaited facility symbolised unity and progress for the community.
He described the hall as more than just a building, calling it “a place that brings people together through sports, recreation, and community programmes.”
The new hall will benefit around 1,500 residents in the area, offering a venue for social activities and local events.
Masidi expressed his appreciation to the villagers for their strong support of the development projects in the area, including the community hall and other new facilities.
He added that farmers would also gain from ongoing projects such as upgraded cemented roads in agricultural areas, which will help ease transport and improve their income.
Masidi said more facilities would be added over time to ensure the continued well-being and comfort of the residents.
