BELURAN: A 62-year-old man was found dead after he was believed to have been attacked by a crocodile while bathing alone in Sungai Trusan Sapi near Kampung Bakong-Bakong Sapi on Sunday night.

Beluran Fire and Rescue Station said villagers discovered the victim’s remains about 10 metres from where he was last seen after a search using boats within a one-kilometre radius.

The remains were handed over to police for further action, and the rescue operation ended at 2pm after authorities confirmed there was no further danger in the area.
