PENAMPANG: Penampang Upko Youth has reaffirmed its stand that the party should contest the upcoming Sabah election under its own logo, in line with its "Sabah First" principle.
Its chief, Billy Joe Dominic (

He said Ewon’s readiness to quit the Federal Cabinet if the Attorney-General’s Chambers appeals the High Court decision on Sabah’s rights reflects the party’s core struggle under the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
Billy also pointed out that the Sabah PH leadership dispute, in which Ewon’s appointment as chairman was never formally resolved due to Sabah PKR’s objection, shows how Upko’s role has been undermined.
He said it is time for Upko to stand on its own feet, listen to the voices of Sabahans, and uphold its identity by using its own logo in the coming state election.
