MENUMBOK: Caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has urged the people of Sabah to renew their mandate for Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the upcoming state election to ensure the continuity of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development plan.
He said the new mandate would allow the government to implement SMJ 2.0 effectively, following the progress made under SMJ 1.0 since 2021, which has delivered tangible benefits to the people.
Hajiji reminded voters not to be swayed by the opposition’s rhetoric, saying the GRS administration had steered Sabah through post-pandemic recovery and political instability, achieving steady growth and attracting investors.
He highlighted that the government had expanded welfare aid to 100,000 low-income citizens, provided RM300 monthly assistance, and prioritised education with over RM1.3 billion in allocations over the past five years.
During his visit, Hajiji launched the Kuala Penyu and Menumbok Sub-District Strategic Development Plan 2025–2035, officiated Masjid Nur Ihsan Menumbok, and handed over SMJ housing keys, land gazettes, and education aid under the Limus Jury Foundation.
