Runners-up finish proves RYFC’s players can compete at higher level
The RYFC Club Under-12 team.
RANAU: The Under-12 (U12) football team from Ranau, RYFC Club took an important step in the development of the club when they came second in the Suparimau League Season B, Tigers category recently.

The club, guided by Head Coach and President of RYFC Club, Coach Keiru Jumin, proved that RYFC’s young players are capable of competing at a higher and more prestigious level if given training, guidance and space to develop.

“Throughout the league, they have shown improvement and discipline during the game as a result of the coach’s guidance and the entire team’s high commitment to player development.

“I am very proud of the fighting spirit shown by the RYFC Club players throughout this season.

“They not only played with heart and discipline, but also showed significant improvement in terms of tactical understanding of attack and defence,” he said.

Coach Keiru also expressed special appreciation to the players’ parents who always provided unwavering support, whether through presence on the field, providing for their children’s needs, financial support, transportation and moral support throughout the season.

“The family spirit shown has been a major source of strength for the RYFC Club team.

“My appreciation to the Chairman of the Parents’ Committee, A Santinios, who has helped the club a lot, especially in terms of training and monitoring during matches,” he said.

RYFC Club General Manager, Coach Lady (Sylviana Viana Saiki) also expressed her appreciation to all parties who have provided support, finances, energy and time in ensuring the team’s journey runs smoothly throughout the league.

The RYFC Club’s U12 football team closed the curtain on the Suparimau League Season B, Tigers category on October 25 with a proud achievement.

The tournament, which took place at the Likas Synthetic Field, Kota Kinabalu, was organised by Boost Juice in collaboration with Subway, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Maxim Events Sdn Bhd, which is fully supported by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).

This event is an important arena for RYFC’s young players to showcase their talent, fighting spirit and improved performance throughout Season B.

The league, which started in July 2025, saw fierce competition between young teams from all over Sabah.

In the Tigers U12 category, Talawa FC emerged as the overall champion, while RYFC U12 maintained a strong position in second place due to consistent performance and high team spirit throughout Season B.

The RYFC U12 team is lined up with 18 talented young players, including Mohd Haikal Hafezi (Captain), Jas Aqmar, Elden, Thaqifuddin, Alois Evan, Alexis, Asyraa @ Acha, Accel, Arshad, Aldrie, Allen Mccarthny, Isaac Cole, Mohd Fazwan, Ezan, Wazif, Aaron Josh, Clare Olsen and Ameer.

According to Coach Keiru, this second place is the result of the hard work of everyone, namely the players, coaches, club management, parents and supporters.

“RYFC Club will continue to be committed to producing more young talents who can represent the district and state in the future,” he said.

The proud achievement of RYFC U12 this season has also strengthened the club’s reputation as one of the teams that are active in developing grassroots football in the Ranau district even though the club has only been established for a year.
