KUALA LUMPUR: Sabahan player Ericson Lotidis emerged champion of the Cookie Run Trading Card Game (TCG) Brave League 2025 Season 2 Malaysia Finals held at WTC Kuala Lumpur.
The national title earns Ericson the honour of representing Malaysia at the Cookie Run TCG World Championship in South Korea in April 2026, with all travel and participation costs fully sponsored.
Sabah sent eight players to the tournament, with Ericson and Farren Tan advancing to the Top 8.
Ericson went on to claim the championship after a thrilling comeback in the final using a Red Velvet Midrange deck, with Fire Spirit Cookie proving crucial in his winning strategy.
The upcoming world championship will feature top competitors from 10 major regions including Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, the United States and Canada.
Cookie Run TCG is a fast-growing strategy card game that challenges critical thinking and decision-making skills, while fostering social interaction and sportsmanship among players as young as nine years old.
Ericson’s victory is seen as a proud moment for Sabah and Malaysia, showcasing the talent of young local gamers on the global stage.
