PAPAR: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Raktar) Pantai Manis Division Chief Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Ismail is disappointed over the decision of the division’s Information Chief Amri Abu Bakar, to Warisan.
He said he only knew it when Warisan announced Amri’s membership on its official social media platform on Friday.
He said Amri had been a long-time ally who left Umno alongside him years ago to strengthen Gagasan Rakyat’s presence in Pantai Manis.
“If Amri had any grievances, he could have discussed them with the divisional committee or with me personally.
“His action is very disappointing because the division had never heard any sign of dissatisfaction from him.
“Throughout his tenure in the PGRS leadership, he showed no suspicious behaviour and actively participated in various divisional programmes,” Abdul Rahim said.
Nonetheless, the division respected Amri’s decision and would appoint a replacement soon.
“PGRS Pantai Manis is not short of capable individuals who can fill the vacant position,” he said, and called on all PGRS members in Pantai Manis to remain united.
“Let us continue to stand firm under the Gagasan Rakyat banner and focus on strengthening our preparations for the upcoming state election,” he said.
