Kota Kinabalu: The inaugural 2025 Cross-Border Table Tennis Tournament organised by Tuaran Table Tennis Association (Persatuan Ping Pong Daerah Tuaran) with a total prize money of more than RM10,000 is set to take place at the Sabah Ping Pong Centre in Sunny Garden, here on October 20-21.
The tournament, open to all Malaysians and also foreign entries, features eight divisions in the men and women adults as well as the children’s categories.
All top four finishers will receive medals and cash while consolation prizes will be given to those finished fifth to eighth places.
Tuaran Table Tennis Association’s advisor Chung Tay Vui said the invitation to international participants is aimed to foster closer tie among the community as well as promoting the sport and social integration.
He called on all enthusiasts to participate in the tournament, which he said the organiser had invested significant funds and effort to provide the platform for them to compete.
The entry fee is RM25 for singles and RM50 for doubles. Closing date is on September 15 at 12 noon and all enquiries are to contact Lorna Law at 019-8207080.
