ACT Group is a one-stop education and business solution provider, promoting their “sponsorship programme” by assisting in building their own future career, creating more young entrepreneurs in the society.

With its slogan, “Better Youth, Better Future for Sabah”, Charlene is on a mission to invite interested young people who were not given opportunities to further their studies due to unfavourable results.

“We aim to search for young people. There is no restriction on age including those who still have the passion to further their studies but due to their not-so-outstanding results in SPM were not able to do so.

“We are here to assist by giving them opportunities to further their studies in the selected universities or colleges,” explained Charlene.

Degree courses would be available in the near future, she said.

Scholarships for Masters Courses (MBA) are also available for working adults and there is no restriction on age.

She said her mission was to ready the youth for better future as they contribute their skills and knowledge for nation building.

Youths who are from urban or interior of Sabah are encouraged to apply, especially those who did not have any placement. “It does not matter if their contribution is small or big, as long as they are moving forward by carrying out their dutiful responsibilities as part of the supply chains in the economic sector,” she said.

For those who have failed in their examination, there are also courses and training available for them. She said the scholarship covered tuition fees, accommodation and monthly allowance.

“We even take those who failed in their exam but as long as they still have the passion to study, it is not a problem. “We have another special programme which is training courses in collaboration with corporate organisations or commercial firms such as Starbucks, McDonald and many others where they will be put in the industries for training and at the same time they undergo classes/ courses,” she said.

Under her NGO, “UEvolve”, Charlene provides consultations sessions for those who require assistance in regards to courses they wished to apply. They also conduct interviews upon pursuing their courses for the scholarship accordingly. For more information contact Charlene at 012-9068683.
