PUTATAN: A fire broke out at a wooden house settlement in Petagas near Kampung Sekambu on Friday (March 13) in the aternoon, sending thick smoke billowing into the air.

The incident was captured in a TikTok live broadcast by a user at the scene, who said personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department had arrived to contain the blaze.
The uploader said the fire spread quickly due to strong winds and the close proximity of wooden houses in the area, while the cause was suspected to be rubbish burning, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.
