Sabah DAP chief Phoong named senator
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe (pic) has been appointed a senator, describing the appointment as a responsibility to continue serving the people and championing Sabah’s interests at the national level.

In a statement on Monday, Phoong said the appointment was made following the recommendation of the party and the Federal Government, with the consent of His Majesty the King.

He said his belief and mission remained unchanged throughout his political journey, regardless of the position or role he holds.

Phoong said he had listened to public feedback, criticism, reminders and expectations over the past six months and would continue to raise issues affecting Sabah without fear in Parliament.
