TELUPID: A 56-year-old man suffered burns to his hands in a fire involving two houses at Jalan Sapi Nangoh, Kampung Rancangan Nangoh, on Wednesday night.
The incident, which occurred at about 8.35pm, destroyed two non-permanent houses with a combined area of approximately 182 square metres.

Beluran Fire and Rescue Station chief Assistant Fire Supt Edoen Macheal said the department received an emergency call at 8.38pm through the 999 hotline.
A team of nine firefighters, together with a fire engine, was immediately dispatched to the scene located about 99 kilometres from the station.
Firefighting operations were carried out using water from the fire engine and a nearby open water source.
“The victim, who suffered burns to his hands, had already been sent to a clinic by members of the public before the fire team arrived at the scene,” he said in a media statement on Thursday.
According to Edoen, the fire was successfully brought under control at 10.40pm.
“The operation was fully concluded at 11.42pm after firefighters ensured there were no further dangers at the location,” he added.
The operation was also assisted by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
