Sabahans hoping for 'good news' during PM's visit
KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Sabah today is closely watched amid expectations over the latest review of the state’s 40pc net revenue entitlement.

State Backbenchers chairman Datuk Masiung Banah said Sabahans are hoping for “good news” following two undisputed tax components worth RM3.019 billion under the MA63 technical committee.

He stressed, “the tax revenue from these two components must begin with immediate payment by the Federal Government,” adding that undisputed amounts should be settled first before further negotiations.

Anwar is scheduled to visit Pulau Banggi with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
