The premier platform aims to unite Malaysian energy stakeholders to advance the nation’s energy ambitions through technical collaboration and knowledge sharing, said the OGSE Sabah 2026 Secretariat in a statement Friday.
A central pillar of OGSE Sabah 2026 is the mission to secure 60 per cent local contract ownership for Sabahan companies within the State’s energy supply chain.
This mandate is driven by the Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport Ministry (Mindet), Sabah Oil and Gas Services Council (SOGSC) and the Persatuan Kontraktor Petroleum Bumiputera Sabah (PKPBS), with strategic support from SMJ Energy Sdn Bhd.
The collective effort seeks to ensure that Sabah’s natural resources drive direct, long-term economic empowerment.
To realise this vision, the organisers are inviting Malaysian companies nationwide to participate through exhibition booths and sponsorship programmes.
“We are calling on all Malaysian companies to stand with us in this evolution.
“By joining our exhibition and sponsorship programs, our partners from across the country play a critical role in building a robust ecosystem where 100 per cent local contract ownership is realised for the benefit of the state and the nation,” said the secretariat.
The event has already garnered elite industry support. Diamond sponsors include Turcomp Engineering Services, Berlian McDermott, Evolusi Bersatu, Sabah Energy Corp, Asian Supply Base, Shell, Petronas, Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros), ConocoPhillips and SMJ Energy.
Platinum sponsors listed are Kinara Energy, Deleum Bhd, SBD Integrated, Hibiscus Petroleum Malaysia Limited, and Schlumberger (M) Sdn Bhd.
Gold sponsors include Dialog Group Berhad, Weatherford (Malaysia), PTTEP Sabah Oil Limited, Jalinan Enigma and Carimin Petroleum Bhd.
Participation in the exhibition is intended to showcase innovative technologies and establish B2B partnerships with local vendors, fostering the collaboration required to meet the State’s ambitious ownership goals.
