TAMBUNAN: A 38-year-old man sustained injuries after a 10-tonne lorry he was driving was involved in an accident at Kg Sunsuron here early Wednesday morning.
The State Fire and Rescue Department Operations Control Centre received an emergency call via the station hotline at 1.55am, prompting the deployment of six firefighters from the Tambunan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to the scene, about 13km away.

The team, led by Operations Commander PBK II Rayner Jaidis, arrived at 2.10am with a fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit.
Upon arrival, it was found that the lorry carrying cement had skidded off the road shoulder.
The victim, identified as Mohd Zulisham Saimin, had managed to exit the vehicle on his own before rescuers arrived.
The EMRS team provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further care.
The operation was concluded at 2.30am after ensuring the area was safe.
