Tambunan break-in concern

TAMBUNAN: Residents of Kampung Monsok Tengah here have expressed concern following a break-in at an orchard house that resulted in losses amounting to thousands of ringgit.

The victim, Pius Kiob, discovered the incident when he visited his orchard and found that the main padlock on the door of his house had been damaged by unknown individuals.

Upon entering the house, he found the interior in disarray.

Further inspection revealed that several items had been stolen, including a wood-cutting machine, a gas cylinder, a solar lighting set and other belongings, with total losses estimated at about RM5,000.

Pius said the incident came as a shock as such cases had not occurred in the area previously.

The break-in has also raised concern among residents in the area, who are worried about the safety of their property, particularly in orchard locations.
