Kota Kinabalu: Sabah dancesport athletes delivered an inspiring performance in the 13th Singapore Stars of Tomorrow Open Dancesport Championships 2026 held recently.
The four-member team from Dancespiration Studio led by coach Marlon Estella Aballe took home 28 gold, 11 silver and six bronze medals.
Nine-year-old Amanda Sophie Ng from SJK (C) St. James was the toast of the team as she reaffirms herself as one of the State’s most promising stars in the Latin division by winning 21 golds and three silvers as well as clinching one of the most prestigious titles in the championship—the Overall Solo Grand Champion Award.
The other gold medal winners were Adeela Dania Azhanorhisam and Natahnia Jintoni Girishan each winning two golds in the Latin under-12 category.
Adeela also secured five silvers and four bronzes, while Nathania delivered three silvers and one bronze.
The other three golds came from Andrew Lau Ching Yee and Amanda Sophie Ng in the Juvenile Latin Under 9 Couple category, and Andrew also won an individual silver.

Adriana Voon, founder of Dancespiration Studio, shared her excitement over the achievement by her dancers.
“These achievements reflect not only our dancers’ hard work and dedication, but also how Sabah’s dancesport talent is making its mark on the international stage.
“We hope this will inspire more young athletes to pursue dancesport passionately and to represent Malaysia in the future with pride,” she said.
