Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah ladies took home the trophy once again, successfully defending their title at the 24th Borneo Ladies Golf Challenge concluded on Thursday at the Sabah Golf and Country Club.

Sabah’s team A represented by Park Ock Nam, Amisdah Gaupin, Dionysia Petrus and Sally Chai secured first place with an impressive 560 points in the combined nett scores.

Second place went to Sarawak team which consisted of Noor Aminah Jeraiee, Valerie George, Sharon Chong and Annie Boon Kim Theen with 608 points followed by Brunei’s Hjh Azizah Hj Ahmad, Sarinah Masri, Ruby Chua and Dura Madai with 622 points.

More than 120 golfers from Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Labuan featured in the two-day annual event.

The closing ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel here was officiated by Sabah Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Julinus Jeffery Jimit, representing Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafri Ariffin.
