Kota Kinabalu: Seven Parti Warisan Assembly members issued a joint statement denying they are receiving government allocations, describing the claims as false, defamatory and politically motivated.

The statement comes amid what they described as an increasingly widespread and coordinated effort to spread misinformation targeting Warisan elected representatives, particularly in urban constituencies.

“Certain irresponsible parties have been circulating claims — especially within community groups and on social media platforms such as Facebook — that Warisan Assembly members (ADUNs) are receiving allocations from the Government.

“We firmly state that such claims are defamatory and deliberately false. Warisan Party ADUNs do not receive any such allocations as alleged,” the statement read.
