Boy rescued from locked car in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: An eight-year-old boy was rescued from a locked car at Jalan Reno Fajar, here, on Monday.

District Fire and Rescue Department Chief Sumsoa Rashid said his department received a distress call following the incident at 7.28pm.

Six Fire and Rescue personnel rushed to the scene and, upon arrival at 7.35pm, discovered that a child was locked inside a vehicle.

“The team immediately opened the vehicle’s door using special tools and rescued the boy who was found safe and handed over to his mother at the scene,” he said.
