Kota Kinabalu: Maktab Nasional School has recorded its best-ever performance in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2025 examination, with the School Grade Point Average (GPS) improving from 2.66 in 2024 to 2.26 in 2025.
The results mark a significant milestone, reflecting the combined dedication of students, teachers, and parents. A total of 14.3 per cent of candidates obtained straight As, while 8.2 per cent secured 9As, highlighting strong academic achievement.
Furthermore, 55.1 per cent of students achieved between 5As and 9As, and 98 per cent of candidates earned at least one A across all subjects taken. The cohort also demonstrated notable strength in English, recording a subject grade point of 0.4.
In alignment with international standards, 71.4 per cent of students achieved at least a C1 level, while 28.6 per cent attained B2 under the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
