Public help sought over floating body
Kota Kinabalu: Police are seeking the public’s assistance to trace the next of kin of a woman whose body was found floating in waters off Kampung Kesuapan, Gaya Island.

The Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters (IPD KK) said initial investigations found that police received information about the discovery from a village head at about 4pm.

Acting on the report, police went to the location to conduct checks before the body was retrieved from the water.

The remains were later taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital I Forensic Unit here for further action while authorities await family members to come forward for identification.
