TWO of the world’s most wanted alleged drug traffickers were photographed attending a mixed martial arts event in Dubai, according to a media investigation.
Images show Irish organised crime figures Christy Kinahan and his son Daniel Kinahan seated in separate VIP ringside areas during the six-hour 971 Fighting Championship held in June last year.

Christy, 68, wearing a Panama hat, blue polo shirt and white trousers, and Daniel, 48, were identified through photographs and a frame-by-frame review of a livestream of the event, The Sunday Times and investigative outlet Bellingcat reported.
The pair left Spain for the United Arab Emirates in 2016 and were reported to have gone to ground in April 2022 following sanctions imposed by the United States Department of the Treasury on the Kinahan organisation.
US authorities have alleged the group smuggled cocaine and other narcotics into Europe and offered rewards of up to US$5 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of its leaders.
