PENAMPANG: The Mini Tekun Madani Carnival held last June at Tamu Inobong drew a large turnout with vendors showcasing mostly home-made products.

It featured 40 vendors, providing a platform for small businesses to thrive and showcased the newly upgraded facilities at the riverside venue, offering a spacious and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

The Penampang Municipal Council has done a great job upgrading the space, replacing grounds with concrete to make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” said Datuk Ewon Benedick, the former Minister of Entreprenuership and Cooperatives.

He highlighted that Penampang now has four Tamu Desa grounds, namely in Inobong, Babagon, Togudon and Mahandoi, where each serves as vital hubs for rural economic activity.
