KOTA BELUD: A 44-year-old man died after he is believed to have fallen from a tree while hunting in the Sapoda forest area here on Saturday night.
In the incident at about 7pm, the victim was reported to have lost consciousness before being pronounced dead at the scene.

Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station chief Elge Bakuk said the department received an emergency call at 7.45pm and five personnel were dispatched 39 kilometres to the location in a Toyota Vigo four-wheel-drive utility vehicle.
He said firefighters, assisted by medical personnel, walked three kilometres to reach the victim, whose body was later carried out with the help of forest rangers and handed over to police for further action, with the operation ending at 10.56pm.
