SANDAKAN: The Perlis State Government’s working visit to Sabah, known as Eks Perbah, is a manifestation of the long-standing cooperation between the two state governments that has been in place since 2003, said Perlis Raja Muda Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.

He said the relationship had been built on a foundation of trust, commitment and shared interests aimed at safeguarding the welfare of security personnel and local communities.

“This programme not only focuses on the welfare of security personnel at checkpoints on islands and elsewhere, but has also been expanded through corporate social responsibility initiatives and welfare activities that directly benefit local communities,” he said at the Eks Perbah 2026 Appreciation Ceremony, here.

The Raja Muda credited the programme’s success to close collaboration among all parties involved, including government departments, strategic partners and the corporate and private sectors.
