TAMPARULI: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has urged the people to continue respecting racial and religious differences to strengthen unity and harmony in Sabah’s multi-racial society.
He said strong unity can only be achieved when people stand together and appreciate the diversity that exists within the community.

Hajiji said this when officiating the 2026 Angpow Festival organised by the Chung Fook Tong Association together with 10 other Chinese associations at Dewan Tun Hamdan here on Saturday night, with his speech delivered by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malakun.
He said the State Government continues to support programmes that promote unity, racial harmony as well as social and cultural development in line with the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) agenda.
Hajiji also expressed hope that the Chinese community will continue to be a strategic partner of the State Government in driving development and strengthening unity and stability in Sabah.
