Kota Kinabalu: Federal government servants in Sabah are urged to enhance the quality of service delivery to the public in line with public service reform efforts.
Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab said civil servants are required to accelerate the implementation of administrative transformation, including digitalisation, the strengthening of integrity and a high-performance work culture.
“As we move forward into 2026, we can no longer remain in our comfort zones.
“The primary focus is to boost the quality of public service through digital innovation and swift action,” he said while delivering his mandate at the Sabah Federal Department Heads and Federal Statutory Bodies Meeting (No. 1 of 2026), here, Friday.
Razali said close cooperation between federal departments and agencies and the State Government must continue to be strengthened to ensure the smooth implementation of policies and development projects.
“There is no room for us to work in isolation, as the effectiveness of service delivery to the people depends on inter-agency collaboration,” he said.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining close, harmonious and positive relationships with counterparts at the Sabah State Government level.
A total of 141 heads of federal departments and statutory bodies attended the meeting to discuss administrative and development issues in Sabah.
Also in attendance was Malaysian Public Service Commission Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus.
