“The distribution of dividends for these two financial years reflects Kopeks’ ability to maintain sustainable financial performance through practices of integrity-driven governance, prudent financial management and strict adherence to Shariah principles,” he said in a statement, Thursday.
Dr Saat said the achievement demonstrates Kopeks’ continued commitment to prioritising the interests and welfare of its members.
Meanwhile, he said Kopeks continues to expand its social and economic role through the operation of three K-Care Klinik branches located in Kota Kinabalu, Sulaman Sentral and Kota Belud.
He said the Kota Kinabalu branch had relocated and is now fully operating at Grace Square, Sembulan.
“The new location enables the provision of healthcare services that are more strategic, accessible and comfortable for members and the local community,” he said.
In a related development, Dr Saat also announced that Kopeks had been appointed by the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM) as a mentor for strengthening governance and Shariah compliance within the cooperative movement.
He said the appointment makes Kopeks the only cooperative in Sabah to receive such recognition and strategic responsibility.
“This appointment reflects the authorities’ confidence in Kopeks’ capability to practise disciplined, transparent and Shariah-compliant cooperative management,” he said.
He added that pre-registration for the dividend distribution ceremony can be made via Kopeks’ official link at [https://kopeks.com.my/e-attendance/](https://kopeks.com.my/e-attendance/). Registration on the day of the event (Feb 15) will close at 10am.
