MILAN: National alpine skier Aruwin Salehuddin (
pic) is representing Malaysia at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
The 22-year-old competes at the Games for the second time and is Malaysia’s sole athlete at this year’s edition.

She made history in Beijing four years ago as the first Malaysian female athlete to compete at the Winter Olympics, and now becomes the first Malaysian woman to appear at the Games twice.
In an
Instagram post on her account, @aruwin.sal, she described the emotional experience of carrying the Jalur Gemilang through the centre of Cortina alongside her parents and coach as part of the Malaysian contingent.
Aruwin said she hopes to make Malaysians proud and pledged to give her best on the slopes despite coming from a country better known for heat and humidity than snow.
